1. Furnace application and composition
The RT2-500-9 electric resistance trolley type furnace is mainly used for heat treatment of steel parts, steel castings, shafts and rods, tool steel parts. The furnace is mainly comprised of furnace body, lining, furnace door and door compression system, bogie, heating element, and temperature control system.

3.Furnace maintenance
3.1 the operator must understand the following points:
3.1.1 The structure and performance of the electric furnace and its auxiliary equipment;
3.1.2 The layout of the power distribution system, the control system and the location of the safety devices, etc.;
3.1.3 Operation process and safety operation procedures.
3.2 Preparation inspection before operation
3.2.1 Whether the power supply of the equipment is normal, whether there is a phase failure, short circuit or bare wire, etc.;
3.2.2 Check whether the contact at the wiring of the grounding device is good;
3.2.3 Check whether the heating element is damaged, whether the contact of each connection is good, and whether there is any contact with the furnace body and the cover;
3.2.4 Check whether the temperature control system is abnormal;
3.2.5 Check whether the furnace door lifts and the trolley enters and exits normally.
3.3 Workpieces with corrosive, volatile and explosive gases are strictly prohibited from entering the furnace body for processing, so as not to affect the service life of heating elements and refractory materials and cause explosions and other accidents.
3.4 the electric furnace shall not be operated at over-temperature, otherwise the service life of the equipment will be shortened.
3.5 Workpieces with too much oxide skin need to be removed before entering the furnace, and can be brushed with a wire brush.
3.6 The workpieces are stacked evenly, and the distance from the heating element should be about 100-150mm.
3.7 Barbaric operation is strictly prohibited, and the workpiece should be handled lightly to avoid impact.
3.8 When the electric furnace is in use, the operator shall not leave the post without authorization, and must always pay attention to whether the working condition of the electric furnace is normal.
3.9 When the electric furnace is loading and unloading the workpiece, the power supply of the heating element must be cut off first to ensure the safety of the operator.
3.10. The oxides in the furnace should be cleaned frequently, at least once a week. Compressed air can be blown under the furnace floor.
3.11 If the resistance wire is used, it should not be collided or bent, so as not to break.
3.12 The electric furnace motor needs to be inspected regularly, and lubricating oil should be added. Pay attention to the safety of use.
3.13 The drive shaft sleeve must be checked and added with lubricating oil frequently to prevent damage to the shaft sleeve due to lack of oil.
3.14 Regularly check the use of heating elements. The heating element shall not be bent or collided after short-term use. If it has not been seriously corroded and broken, the same material as the electric furnace wire can be used as the welding rod, and the welding rod is heated and welded with acetylene gas. The welding rod is made of 50% white cloud powder.
3.15 Regularly check the use of instruments and thermocouples to prevent incorrect temperature measurement due to errors in instruments and thermocouples and affect product quality.
