1.Application
The industrial ion nitriding furnace is mainly used for ion nitriding, ion nitrocarburizing (soft nitriding) plasma chemical heat treatment process of mechanical parts to modify the surface of mechanical parts and obtain the required mechanical and physical and chemical properties.
The complete set of industrial heat treatment furnace is composed of ion power supply, vacuum furnace body, vacuum acquisition system, temperature measurement and control system, gas supply system, etc.

3.Introduction to Each Unit
3.1 ion power supply
Ion power supply is the key part of ion nitriding furnace. Whether the ion power supply is stable and reliable directly affects the normal work of the whole heat treatment equipment and the quality of the process.
Ion power supply is divided into DC ion power supply and pulse ion power supply, which users can choose according to their needs.
DC ion power supply
DC ion power supply mainly includes rectifier transformer, silicon controlled rectifier circuit, L-C oscillation arc extinguishing circuit, cut-off feedback circuit and control circuit.d
DC ion power supply has the protection functions of anode and cathode short circuit, overcurrent and overvoltage, phase failure, misoperation and so on.
3.2 vacuum furnace body
The plasma nitriding furnace body is manufactured with the national secondary pressure vessel production license.
The vacuum furnace body is divided into ordinary furnace body and furnace body with auxiliary heating, which can be selected by users according to their needs.
3.3 ordinary furnace body
The vacuum furnace body of the equipment is divided into well type (parts hanging), bell type (parts stacking) and comprehensive type for users to choose and buy.
The vacuum furnace body is composed of a furnace barrel and a furnace chassis.
The furnace barrel is welded with steel plates and has a double-layer structure, with water cooling in the middle. All sealing surfaces (grooves) are sealed with vacuum rubber sealing rings. The furnace is equipped with stainless steel heat shield and cathode plate. An observation window is opened on the furnace barrel. The air inlet port is installed on the top of the furnace body.
The plasma ion nitriding furnace chassis is equipped with cathode power transmission interface, temperature measurement interface, pressure measurement interface, air extraction interface, etc.
The cathode transmission device is composed of cathode rod, seal, insulating pad, bearing column and air gap sleeve. The cathode lead is connected with the cathode plate through the cathode power transmission device.

The vacuum furnace body is well sealed to ensure the vacuum degree required by the process.
According to the requirements of processing part size and production capacity, the vacuum furnace body should have sufficient working volume.
3.4 furnace body with auxiliary heating
In order to improve the heating effect and temperature uniformity in the furnace, the furnace body with auxiliary heating can be selected.
An auxiliary heating component composed of an electric heating alloy wire (strip), a ceramic insulator and a fixed frame is installed in the ordinary furnace to form an auxiliary heating furnace body.
Auxiliary heating shall be equipped with corresponding low-voltage and high current auxiliary heating power supply.
3.5 vacuum acquisition system
The vacuum acquisition system is composed of rotary vane mechanical vacuum pump, vacuum solenoid valve and vacuum butterfly valve, which are connected with the vacuum furnace body through vacuum pipes.The low vacuum gauge is used to measure the vacuum degree of the vacuum furnace body.
3.6 temperature measurement and control system
The temperature measurement and control system is composed of thermocouple, temperature control circuit and temperature control instrument. The temperature millivolt signal is obtained by the thermocouple, and the workpiece temperature is accurately controlled through the PID adjustment of the temperature control instrument and related circuits.
3.7 gas supply system
The gas supply system of the vacuum heat treatment furnace is composed of ammonia cylinder, ammonia pressure reducer, rotameter (or mass flowmeter) and gas transmission pipeline.
The plasma nitriding furnace equipment is equipped with two flow meters, one for ammonia flow regulation and the other for carburizing gas flow regulation. The two gases are mixed into the furnace after passing through the flowmeter, and the nitrocarburizing process (soft nitriding) can be realized by adjusting the flow ratio.
